Events at the Clarke Collection

A host of children’s workshops also take place at the Jackie Clarke Collection. On Tuesday July 10th, children can enjoy the Junior Historian workshops from 12pm-1pm or 2pm-3pm, and on Thursday children have a choice between Lights, Camera, Action taking place from 10.30am to 11.30am or the Salmon of Knowledge workshop taking place from 11am-12pm and again from 3pm-4pm. The famous Salmon Festival Heritage Day takes place on July 11th  with traditional children’s games, ‘Chalk It Down’ chalk pavement competition, Birds of Prey at 2pm, The Great Famine exhibition in the Seomra, a special exhibition on Irish Identity by visiting American interns from Villanova University, as well as tonnes of music and dance on the festival bandstand in the Jackie Clarke Collection garden.
